Spring Sprung

I sold hats at the Green Gala recently and got my picture snapped by Vita.mn. Check it out.

Spring hats are available now at the Wedge. In the next few weeks more hat will be available at numerous local bike shops. These are the hats with no ear flaps. I sometimes call them my "regular" hats, and others call them Belgian hats. Go figure.

Want to buy hats from me in person? Come see me at the Biker's Bazaar Craft Fair. I'll have all colors and sizes available.

When: SATURDAY, APRIL 17th 2010. 10 am-4 pm
Where: Freewheel Bike in the Midtown Bike Center (right on the Greenway, and across from the Global Market).
Besides me, there will be other local artists and crafters showing their wares.

Mittens, git yer mittens!

They're at the Wedge Coop. In a basket, on the floor, in the Health and Body Care Dept by the woo woo chakra balancing CDs and whatnots.

Coming Soon! CRC hats!

I'm finishing a batch of hats for CRC in Minneapolis today. Expect them on the shelves in the coming days.

Hats at the Hub!

Need a winter hat? They are a featured item at the Hub. Check it!

She Works Hard for the Money

Mitten season is in full swing! I executed my yearly trip to the laundromat to wash and felt all the wool sweaters that will eventually become mittens this winter. The Big Dummy did a stellar job of getting me and my sweaters there in style. I got plenty of looks as I dumped five garbage bags full of wool sweaters out on the counter and began cutting off the pricetags and filling every washer in the joint.
My friend Anna was nice enough to do the dirty work, i.e. brave the Savers 1/2 off sale on Labor Day to buy 50 sweaters. I was in the Oregon wilderness enjoying a much needed vacation from life.

Anna is really the only woman I know brave and crazy enough to get bashed by old ladies with their shopping carts at a thrift store in Bloomington while she dug through racks and racks of clothes, looking for every single 100% wool sweater they had. Thanks lady.

Okay, Okay!

Alright, finally, I'm on it. After much hassling from friends, family, coworkers and business types and my constant whining about how I "just don't get the interwebs" I've decided to start using this whole blog thing. I hope you are reading this because you're interested in my work under the GroveCraft label. Great! Welcome! What should I have been telling you all this time? How about a current list of where you can buy my hats and other important info?

Current places to buy my hats:
1. Hiawatha Cyclery, Minneapolis, MN
Fantastic lads! Beautiful bikes, great service, always loving the GroveCraft hats.

2. The Hub Bike Coop, Minneapolis, MN
The best worker-owned coop in the land! Kick ass, two locations, great folks.

3. The Wedge Coop, Minneapolis, MN
I used to work there, now I still buy my groceries there, and they sell my hats. Good lady, that Adrien, always getting the hats. Look out for winter hats and mittens there later in the season.

4. Sunrise Cyclery, Minneapolis, MN
WOW! Great shop on the corner of lake and Bryant. Lots of cool stuff, including hats!

5. Re-Cycle Bikes, Minneapolis, MN
New shop, old bikes, good guys, gotta love someone whose email address is "Cutter".

That's all for now, folks. Check out my latest ad in Momentum Magazine, available free at many bike shops around town.
